Eclectic Pink Girls Room Mini Reveal

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my latest post showing a little glimpse of my daughter’s sweet pink girls room. Her room has been nearly finished for well over a year and I’ve never shared it! I’ve always intended to do a big reveal here on the blog but I’m a bit of a perfectionist and have wanted to add a few special details and with work projects taking precedence I just haven’t gotten around to really finishing it. So here is just a little, tiny, mini reveal (seriously 2 pictures – sorry!) for any of you who have been wondering how A’s girls room design turned out.

I have to admit I’m slightly embarrassed that it took over six months to finally share C’s big kid room. Between client projects, school, holidays and the fact that a 5 year old (and his daily mess) actually lives here, putting together the last few pieces took a back seat. If you read my last post you know I’m deep in the process of planning out our kids new bedrooms. Even though we are still waiting on some of the bigger pieces (mostly for my daughter, A), we decided to fast track the transition and moved the kids into their own rooms last weekend. And it was hard…on me. I didn’t realize I’d be so emotional not seeing them sleep in the same room anymore, but I was kind of a mess their last night together. I know we can’t keep them little forever, but this move is just another reminder of how fast they are growing up. Fortunately, I was the only one who cried and they are really loving it.

Right before Memorial Day, we decided it was time to finally give our kids their own rooms.  At almost 5, they have only spent one night apart from each other since they were born.  And though we knew this day would come, we kind of thought we would have to force it on them, but we’ve been dealing with some sleeping issues from the sharing aspect and the kids seemed excited about having their own space, so we just decided to go for it.  Continue reading “classically cool boys room”
